This LILAC intensive explores how science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) are used in a broad range of non-research careers. We will explore many of the ways in which science and art influence each other through science journalism, exploration of the creative process, performance-based communication skills, and visual data-driven art. Be prepared for an interactive week full of creativity, a trip to Philadelphia to participate in a pitch meeting with WHYY’s The Pulse and more!

The week will be built around learning from professionals: Experience how STEM and the arts use the same processes and inspirations from alums and faculty, create works that showcase your science communication skills, explore career paths, and have opportunities to network in a relaxed atmosphere. You can expect to gain a better sense of your career opportunities beyond Bryn Mawr and how your Bryn Mawr education is preparing you for a diversity of pathways.
