What are LILAC intensives?
Intensives are short, non-credit courses that take place over academic breaks.
Are there any fees for applying or registering?
No, the Stem & the Arts Intensive is free to students.
Is the intensive open to Haverford students?
No, the intensive is not yet open to bi-co students. If you’re a Haverford student and interested, please email Ella Braden (ebraden at brynmawr dot edu) to register you interest.
When will the intensive take place?
The STEM and the Arts intensive will take place over fall break: October 10-14*. We will meet each day from about 9:00 AM -4:30 PM.
*Attendance is required for all 5 days.
What does the daily schedule consist of?
In general, each day we spend some time doing skill identification and building, hands-on projects with alums and industry professionals, and learn about them and their careers.
Is there housing during the intensive?
The residence halls are open over fall break, so you can continue to stay in your dorm room.
Are meals provided during the intensive?
We know the dining halls are not open for fall break, so we will provide breakfast and lunch during the intensive.
Do I need to be a STEM major to take this intensive?
The program is designed to be relevant for students with any major, so long as you have an interest in the integration of STEM skills in a variety of contexts.
